Both John Lennon and John (Big Jack) Elliott will this week share their 70th Birthday. The famous Beatle songwriter and composer would have turned 70 this Sunday, 9/10/11 and John Elliott celebrated his 70th Birthday on Monday 3/10/11.
Lennon’s and Beatles fans were greatly saddened when he was murdered in 1980, but his legacy and great songs have survived. Imagine if he was alive today. Would he have done a Mick Jagger or The Eagles by reforming the Beatles and touring the world?
“Big Jack” Elliott, the retired jam maker and brewer is now looking forward to celebrating his 80th Birthday, most likely again at his mate’s pad (Gary Morgan) in East Melbourne.Hard to imagine who of last weeks party’s guests will be attending his 80th celebration.
