John Elliott Interviews Old Carey Football Past Star Players

by John Elliott on April 15th, 2011

Last Saturday the John Elliott film crew was the Old Carey Football oval where John met and mixed with some of the Panthers Players from his era as well as Club official’s at a pre game function held in the Gadsen Pavillion. There were interviews with David Jones, played in first panthers 1954 team, Jeff Thomas and Richard Elliott, John’s younger brother.

Speeches by Panther’s President Paul Newton and Trevor Rowe ,the Panther’s coach were also recorded on this historic day where the Panther’s 2010 B Grade flag was flying all day. The Panthers came from 10 goals down to beat Old Trinity by 2 points, giving them their first Premier grade victory.

Special thanks to our film producer and camera man, Justin Joffe (www.motionsuites.com) for putting this entertaining video together for past players and Panther supporters to view last Saturday’s pre match activities.
