It didn’t take long back in the late 1980s for Paul Hogan and Fosters to convince Britain’s draught beer drinking population that Fosters, The Amber Necter from Down Under, was a great beer. However, it took over 300 years for the UK Authorities to allow pubs to serve beer other than in pints (570ML) or half pints (280ML).
Hoges eventually convinced them that the Aussie schooner (425 ml) was his preferred glass size(being from NSW) and all UK beer drinkers should follow suit. The Brits did agree to change last weekend, but their new schooner size is 400ml and you can still order your pints if you like warm beer.
To recognise this important event we have selected one of Paul Hogans famous Fosters TV advertisements, this time in an up market City of London bar often used by stockbrokers to drown their sorrows.
