As the Fosters takeover bid was announced the same morning of John and Tom’s weekly film recording at Videolink’s Melbourne Conference Centre, this became the main topic where John gave his forthright assessment on what went wrong at Fosters since 1991 and who was to blame for their poor wine investments and beer divestment decisions. As he said, “it’s inevitable Fosters will become foreign owned which will be sad day for all Australians”.
