It was on 20th August 1940 when Winston Churchill,the famous British war-time leader made his famous speech in Parliament to praise the RAF aircrews in defending Britain from Germany’s Luftwaffe .
“Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few” is regarded as one of Churchill’s famous speeches and last Friday 20th August 2010 there were special Spitfire flyovers in London and Vera Lynn even made a public appearance to celebrate the 70 year anniversary. .The remaining “Few” also celebrated with a few cold ales.
